EVENT TYPES
Our disc jockeys are specialize in private events such
as weddings, corporate functions, bar/bat mitzvah, grand
openings, holiday parties, summer outings, fundraisers,
launch Parties, alumni events and school functions
SONG SELECTIONS
Our Disc Jockeys have thousands of song titles to choose
from. Whether it’s Top 40, Disco, Big Band Swing,
Oldies, Rock, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Classical, Jazz,
Hip-Hop, Country, Ethnic, High-Energy Club Mixes or
beyond, we have enough musical variety at our disposal
to make everyone happy. Regardless how much thought
and pre-planning go into an event, no one can predict
how guests will react to certain things. Our experienced
DJs know how to read the room and make the best possible
song selections to take your party where you want it
to go. Guests are usually welcome to make requests unless
you specify otherwise. As a general rule of thumb, DJs
can play about 15—20 songs per hour. Events can
be customized to suit specific styles and song selections
through proper planning. Willow will be happy to supply
any specific songs you may need for your event (Wedding
Songs, Anniversary, Ethnic, etc). Our DJs will strictly
adhere to any “Don’t Play” lists and
clients are always welcome to supply music in good condition
from their own collections for our DJs to play. All
of our DJs will provide continuous, uninterrupted music
throughout your entire event.
EVENT PLANNING
“Perfect events don’t
happen by accident, they happen with thorough proper
planning and communication.”
For most engagements a phone consultation
two weeks prior to your event to go over the details
is sufficient. For Weddings, planning can be done as
early as 1 - 2 months prior to the event. In these cases
we will send you a Wedding Reception planner to fill
out. This pre-planner serves as worksheet for you and
your DJ to coordinate any formalities, announcements,
special dances or song requests. After the reception
planner has been received by the disc jockey we will
schedule a consultation with your disc jockey to go
over everything. This can usually be handled over the
phone.
DJ ARRIVAL
Disc Jockeys will arrive at the event-site approximately
45 minutes to 1 hour prior to the designated start time
of your event. An additional charge may apply for events
requiring early set ups or extraordinary circumstances.
DRESS
Willow Entertainment’s dress requirement for all
functions is formal wear (Tuxedos for Men and Evening
Gowns for Women) unless otherwise requested. Other forms
of dress may include: Jacket and Tie, Casual, Beach
Attire, Costume, Hip Black, etc. Please let us know
your dress preferences prior to your event.
EQUIPMENT
Our disc jockeys show up to every event with state of
the art, pro-audio equipment suited for the size of
the room and the number of guests. Some of our DJs use
laptop systems and others use CD systems. Formats include
compact discs (wave files) & high sample rate MP3.
Vinyl formats may also be available. For events requiring
the re-location of equipment to a separate room or destination,
extra speakers and specialty configurations maybe available
upon request for an additional fee. Our DJs are experts
at monitoring the room for appropriate sounds levels;
therefore uncomfortable volume levels will never be
an issue.
DISC JOCKEY REQUIREMENTS
Over the years, our company has developed close working
relationships with most major function venues throughout
the Northeast. This enables our company to stay current
with information regarding set-up areas, load-in procedures
and directions to your venue. For events taking place
at private residences, a 6 foot table, proper shelter,
and electricity (110 outlet) within 100 feet of the
performance area is necessary. Since disc jockeys will
be performing for multiple hours and they will not be
able to travel off-site, it is customary for clients
to provide the DJ with a hot balanced meal.
TRAVEL FEES
Events taking place more than 1 hour from the Boston
Metro area may incur additional travel charges.
BACK-UP PLANS
All of our Disc Jockeys have AAA service, and bring
backup gear to every event. If your Disc Jockey is unable
to perform due to an emergency situation, Willow Entertainment
guarantees your event will go perfectly as planned.
We have backup disc jockeys and equipment available
24 hours a day, as well as an emergency hotline so that
we may be contacted around the clock in order to provide
assistance to clients and artists for events in progress.
